Beyond the Ocean's Edge

Publishing Progress

Yesterday I had two e-mails from my author representative.  To one was attached the edited text of Sailing Dangerous Waters: Another Stone Island Sea Story.  That means it is time for me to get busy and accept or reject the suggested changes and corrections.  If my last book is any indication, I'll probably go with the editor's recommendations 95% of the time.

The second e-mail had the back cover text that the editor had written after going through the story.  I like it much more than what I had come up with, so with a couple of minor changes, I'll go with that.  I do want to include an excerpt from the story that matches the cover art.  That's something I did with the first book, and something I hope to continue doing.  Other than including the excerpt, I'm basically going with what they came up with.

Tomorrow I'll be at a multi-author book signing at the Hastings on Spokane's South Hill.  Hope it goes well.  As this is still October, every book sold with add $2.00 to what I send in to help fight Breast Cancer.

Hope everyone has a great week-end.
