Beyond the Ocean's Edge

On A Rainy Saturday

Mild temperatures today, but a steady downfall of rain.  While I have some errands to run, it is a good day for inside stuff.

I've already finished up the newsletter for Spokane Authors and Self-Publishers.  Mailing it will be one of my "out of the house" chores.  I only had to print out ten copies.  Nearly everyone in the group has e-mail, so I send the majority of the copies electronically.  It's also posted on the SASP web-site, if anyone cares to view it.  Click the "newsletter" button along the left hand side, and then scroll down to the bottom of the list.

Friday offered up a nice surprise.  I checked my sales on Amazon Central to find that I'd sold 5 copies the week before last.  That may not seem like a huge number to many of you, but when the total had been "zero" over the past weeks, it is a grand improvement.  Curiously, I also checked on geographic location of these sales and found that all were in my local area.  I'm certainly not going to complain, but it would be neat to see some sold in other regions as well.  Now I'm wondering what I might have done to spark this small increase in book sales, or it is simply a matter of chance.  Perhaps it has a bit to do with trying to get the word out about the upcoming publication of Sailing Dangerous Waters.  Regardless of why, I hope the trend continues.
