Beyond the Ocean's Edge

More Art Work

Well, after doing the picture for the cover of the Sailing Dangerous Waters: Another Stone Island Sea Story, I have stuff out and available for painting.  I've also got a couple more canvas panels, so I thought I might as well use them.  Otherwise it's likely to be some time before I get around to doing anymore painting.  A year or so ago, anteros_lmc took a photo and posted it.  I liked it and saved it with the idea of painting the scene some day.  It's here.
I figured I could adapt the basic scene into something from Beyond the Ocean's Edge: A Stone Island Sea Story.  What I came up with is from later in the book, when Ed Pierce and Dr. Robertson leave Brunswick, New Guernsey and set out to find herbs and medicinal plants to affect a cure for Midshipman Morgan.  So here's my interpretation of the scene.  I suppose I've also changed the time of year, and I've added the cabin as they pass by.  As you can see, I'm not great with people or animals, which is why I tried to do them as silhouettes.
One of those that I'm not really happy with, but not to the point that I'll paint over it.
