Just received an e-mail from the self-publishing service and assistance company I have been working with in publishing Beyond the Ocean's Edge: A Stone Island Sea Story. They've nominated it for an EVVY award, which basically is by the Colorado Independent Publishers Association. (The company is based in Colorado.) Great to have my work chosen to compete. I could have entered some other award contests, but ended up not doing so because of the costs associated. (I talked about self-published authors balancing costs for extra products and the like in some of my recent posts.) And yes I do have an entry fee to pay here as well, but I am greatly honored by the selection and will GO FOR IT.
