When people tell me they attended a "small" school, I usually ask how many they graduated with. I can only recall once in the last five years that anyone had a number lower than fifty ... "small" class size is around 100 - 200 now.
I was surprised to learn from your post that the Washington class B tournament is divided. I wonder the reasoning ... it does give twice as many teams the opportunity to be in a tournament; but it might represent marginalizing the truly small high schools. There is so much fauning over celebrity athletes at all levels and the disease has infected the high schools to some extent.
